High Speed Internet Services In Grand County, Colorado

Grand County Internet Wireless

No hidden taxes, access fees, universal service charges. See our terms and conditions. We provide best effort high speed. This means under optimum conditions you will get very high speeds, but if the network is busy you will still see adequate speeds. We do evaluate the network to try to prevent bottlenecks but it will sometimes happen. Since we are very rural, we do have major power outages due to very heavy snow storms. In some areas, outages can go to 3 days. we try to have battery backup for 12 hours at any of our broadcast points as normal power outages usually are resolved in that time. At our main office where everything goes to the internet we have both Battery backup and generators to handle longer outages. In many cases we can outlast the Qwest batteries and they may not furnish 24 hour up time. I would guess this can happen about every 3 years.

Direcway

"Stated speeds are not guaranteed. Actual upload speed will likely be lower than speed indicated during peak hours. Click here for more info on typical speeds. Download speeds may also be temporarily slowed in cases when patterns of system usage exceed the download threshold for an extended period of time. See the DIRECWAY Fair Access Policy for more information. If you choose to run VPN over satellite, your data speeds may be reduced by as much as 50-75%. Despite the high speeds, time-sensitive applications, such as multi-player "twitch" games, are also not recommended over DIRECWAY."

WildBlue

Not a lot of fine print to be found. They give maximum speeds but are realistic on their actual speeds. Read all the customer agreement and fair use policies.
